Dang, I loved watching him do the reloading.  I've never seen how paper patched bullets are done.  Tapping the case down on a primer DID make me cringe, I used to set by the Safety guys at work.

I agree hammering the primer in made me cringe also. Cool weapon but I think I'll stick with my 71/84 Mauser.

Priming, it looked like he was using the base of a Lee Loader as an anvil, nut no real worries as to safety in the manner in which he did it.  I've never seen anyone apply a dry paper patch, usually done after wetting the paper (unless someone is cheating and using masking tape or inkjet labels, but I am admitting NOTHING). 

Werndls are a hoot to shoot, a cousin of the Zulu shotguns.  Not as classy as a '71 Mauser, but they have a decent level of gizmosity about them.

Tapping in the primer is how the old Lee Hand Loader set did it. I still do that with my French 1892 revolver, when I reload the Fiocchi cases, the rims are so narrow they sometimes push through the shell holder if I try to prime them on the press. Not needed with converted 32-20 cases, the rims are a bit wider.

As for the rifle...COOL! Would love to have one-be the only one in GAF.
