parts at gunshows
« on: December 23, 2017, 11:44:38 PM »
I was walking around the local show a couple of weekends ago and a guy had a box full of 1873 parts of set out.  Looking thru the box and found a spring cover for a 1876. It was a little rough but I bought it anyway.
 Now it begins.
Found a receiver made in 1884. The rest to follow. ;D

Ya gotta start the build somewhere! I had a friend that bought a radiator cap at a yard sale from some old Ford. From there he collected parts and built a car under it!

Good luck, keep us informed....

trying to get a photo up. Got the  Breech Bolt, dust cover and ladder sights. I have the wood for a carbine on the way. Not sure if a .40-60 or .45-60.

have the wood for a carbine. Picked up the nose cap and barrel band retaining spring.  any one of you who has the carbine model have a parts list the could part with? I have the rifle diagram. just want to make sure I get every thing right.
