Looked at a new Henry brand Henry
« on: May 12, 2015, 03:45:47 PM »
I was over at Cabellas the other day and they had one of the new Henry brand Henry rifles on the shelf.  I am sorry to say that I was less than impressed, especially in consideration of the asking price (about $1900 if I recall correctly).  The major problem was that it was seriously over polished.  All the barrel edges were rounded over, edges of the receiver were rounded and the top had been so over polished that the flat in front of the elevator was a trapezoid, not a rectangle.  Is this typical for these guns?

Short answer is yes ..

The top gun is an Steel Frame Uberti and the bottom is a Military Model Uberti , The one in the Middle is an H011
all three are mine .

I received it in Nov. of 2013 , elsewhere in this Group is my Gun review written for the NCOWS Shootist Magazine ....
a forth gun not mine (also a Uberti ) was feature in the review as well.

The Steel Frame is date coded 2007 and the Military 1998

I also owned at the time, a dated coded 1980 Henry which was not available at the time of the Gun Test.
