CAS City Classifieds / 03 wood
« Last post by Kent Shootwell on Yesterday at 10:24:15 AM »
I have a Springfield 03 that is rather nice except the stock and hand guard were cut for a sporterized attempt. To put it back as military I’m looking for wood to repair it. This could be just the front half that could be spliced in or a complete S stock. It need not be perfect but repairable.

Wife and I finished it the other day.
We enjoyed it, and yes, it was sometimes difficult to understand, but the story line usually carried it along.
I enjoyed the authenticity of the shooting stance the long range Sharps shooter used.

It was somewhat depressing in tone and certainly did NOT glamorize the American West.

Finished it yesterday.  Agree on mumbling.  With some accents i had to play with volume  and rewind a couple of times.  I did enjoy it.   Better way to spend black friday than out.
Don't brush this one away!

Happy hunting, presently 69° and high for today 78° no rain expected.

Coffee is on, and I'm headed into the Museum in a couple of hours.
Just me today, no docent or volunteers are scheduled, holiday's and/or travel is the culprit.

Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are hot.

Heading out to hunt in a bit.

'Tis 28 and clear. High of 52, mostly sunny and blustery.

The Leather Shop / Re: Wild Bunch Belt

Thanks, John. i'm sure he'll like it.

The original buckle was this type, which isn't available any more. In fact, this buckle may be the one off the original belt. The original was 2" wide but that's a bit much for today's belt loops. I have a couple of these old style buckles in 2" and 1-3/4". This new belt is 1-1/2" wide.

To get a double tine buckle, I robbed one off a second roller buckle.

All I have to do with my Uberti is to make sure the screws are tight before going to the range.
