I just received this morning an email from Harbour Freight, say's I have won a Pittsburg Tool Set.

Scammers are doubling efforts to rip off internet users by impersonating the hardware store chains like Harbor Freight Tools in emails and on websites. The fake "free" offers presented by scammers in a variety of different emails included a "170-Piece Stanley Tool Set," "Milwaukee Power Drill," "DeWalt Power Station," and other products.
I have received other similar email scams including Walmart, Target, Kohl's, Lowe's, Home Depot and others.

The links in all of the emails, began with a survey and ended with a hidden subscription scam. The survey is fake, meaning that no one was going back and checking users' answers to compile any data.

Del, praying here for you. Congrats on getting your doggo his Service Card, he has already proven his qualifications. My Missus will be home tomorrow from her Illinois visit, place is quite empty without her here. Hoping the Cardinals can pull a win off tonight, but they are down 1-0 in the 8th.

I have 3 of the beasts and had at least three more S&W 1917s over the years. I too, thought it was hogwash, but... I have seen that the 1917s with US marked barrels all needed 454 lead bullets OR hard cast 452s or FMJs to group decently. The 2 Colt 1917s I have had did not exhibit this behavior. I have not had any commercial built S&Ws in .45ACP, so I cannot speak for them.

Okay, this is slightly related I guess.  In 2022 I bought several boxes of commercial BP-sub shotshells from a shooter getting out of the game for health reasons.  It was made by Ammo Direct and used Pinnacle in paper hulls with an ounce of shot.  I expect this ammo was a dozen or more years old at the time.  I tried it out at a monthly match.  It shot okay, smoked, and took down the targets.  Seemed a little hot, compared to my BP shells.  Buy OH MY!  The shells disintegrated!  See top pic.  On the first two, the hulls stuck in the chambers and the extractor pulled out past the heads (I think they flexed).  It was a pain to get them out of the chamber.  Next two shots, the extractor pulled the heads off the hulls, and I had to put my finger inside the empty hulls to pull them out of the chamber.  It was a VERY slow stage!

In the second pic, you can see the wad they used compared to a red wad.  Looks to me like their wad was too long, which compressed the Pinnacle (made by APP) which isn't supposed to be compressed.  It was like a rock and had to be chipped out of the hull with an ice pick.  Of course just being old might have made it hard as well.

My theory is just that the chemicals in that BP sub (is ascorbic acid one?) reacted with the paper over time.  Anyway, a few months ago I wanted to try something, so I emptied out a few of the hulls and reloaded with BP and roll crimped.  I figured if this  worked I could reload them all, even though it was a bit of a hassle to disassemble.  Well, they looked okay as you can see, but they still disintegrated, so the damage had already been done to the paper. (didn't take another picture, but they split just like the first ones). I might reclaim the shot out of them, anyway.

Oh yeah, the way this is related is that Mako needs to re-do his poll again to add paper hulls.  :)

If you happen to desire for it to hold 6 in the tube/ carrier, replace the factory spring with a Wolff XP magazine spring cut to 20".

Actually think he knew Rita had cancer before we did.

I looked over the options and decided this was the best because it really ain't lying.

I will say it's too easy, was just shy of $60.

That is very good. I have two other friends with working/supports dogs.
One is vision impaired, not totally blind but can't see squat after dusk.
The other has a fib and the dog is support- alert and carries meds.

My dog "Blaze" has his credentials having graduated advanced training.
He goes on wellness visits to recovery & assisted living places.

I passed my tests, surgery will go as planned Tuesday.

We are seriously looking for something smaller, maybe an assisted care.  The dog was going to be the stumbling block but recently someone of the medic field had a suggestion.  Took care of the problem, he ain't a beer fetching type service dog, probably get a blind person ran over.  Dr is doing me a letter also.  I think it was to easy, but plan on using it if they say no doges.  The one we've been looking at says 25 pounds max, but this will null and void it.  You all know how he kept me on a straight and narrow and almost had a stress related heart attack in Sept and on an anti-stress med.

And no I ain't going to take him to grocery stores and such.  I don't think he'd like riding in the cart. ;D

Dr is going to write me up a letter saying he helps me with my stress, which he does.

Abilene,
I aim to please my friend...

Now Coffinmaker(one wurd) is another matter, I'm not sure what would make him happy.  ;D

The ability to embed larger photos helps in the way I commonly post.  Not only do "I wax elephant..." and tend towards the verbose, but I like pictures, they're purty.  In a former life we used coloring books a lot and the habit stays with you, I even learned not to eat them (the crayons that is).
