Reference books

Could anyone recommend some reference books on the Northern Cheyenne Indians in the time frame of the early to mid 1870's?

Thanks!

Here are two titles that come to mind:

'Plains Indians (Dog Soldiers, Bear Men and Buffalo Women)' - Thomas E. Mails

'The Mystic Warriors of the Plains' - Thomas E. Mails

Both 'should' be available at your Public Library.

Fairly decent film portrayal for period correct dress would be 'Lille Big Man'. While it's not a Cheyenne thing; count how many parts (body parts) Martin Balsam aka Prof. Merryweather loses during the film. Jack I can see you as the Sergeant with blanket over his head. Would show off your stunning Fort Hell profile. -Chuckles Barr

I reckon I should do the Prof Merryweather thing, given my basic clumsiness...
