The Department of the Platte commander is pleased to announce the successful execution of the Hell on Wheels color guard detail on Friday, June 30, 2006.  Thanks to all who participated and made the detail a success:  Specialist Jeffery Dannemiller and SSG Michael Devors, Wyoming National Guard; Terry Lane (Buffalo Bill), Gringo Jack and Ogallala Jim, Department of the Missouri; Trailrider, Wretched Excess, Smiling Bob Masterson, Joe Dirt, Cap'n Savior Bacon and Catamount Sergeant Major, Department of the Platte.  Photos are included for your viewing pleasure:

Thanks, Great photos!

I particularly liked the mix of the modern  with "victorian" era.

This gives us on the east coast food for thought   for the future.

Sagebrush Burns, is that YOU marchin' jus' to the right of Col WF Cody?

Were you at the range early on Wed? 

We were there for the RO II school & had to leave for Rawlins so's to get there afore sundown.

Very well done.

I would have liked to have seen this in person. 

As pointed, this might be a good idea for the other departments/regional shoots.  Have the local NG or Reserve carry the colors, supported by GAF members on the flanks.
