Matthew Quigley's arm garter

...Actually, I'm not sure it could technically be considered an arm garter, but it appears to serve the same purpose.

Anyone have any really good close-ups of it, or any production info on it?  It looks like a leather strap with beads, but throughout the film I don't think there is a single good close-up of it. And I've been searching for decent production stills that might offer a more detailed look, but I haven't found much thus far.

The reason I ask is I'm considering making one for myself.

If anyone can see the details better or has any better knowledge, I would love more info also.  My eyes are no longer as good at picking up small details any more, even wearing my good specs, but I'll bet the dazzles are simple nickel spots.  My thought would be to use a very thin suede or upholstery leather rolled and using a simple thong tie around back where it isn't as noticeable or thread a few beads on the tie and make sure it is seen.  My biggest problem is that garters actually do need more stretch than leather might afford, what ya think?
