Hi, Michaeldoc here,
I do not (yet) own a Spencer, however this is my jumping off point to learn about this iconic weapon from the experts.
My first question is what can one reasonably expect to pay for a "very nice" (subjective) condition 1860 Spencer carbine with Civil War provenance? Without provenance? What should a buyer be considering when contemplating a buy? There are scores of Civil War sites and half as many Spencers advertised for sale.
Last questions: (1) what is latest edition of Blue Book of Gun Values? I have a Thirty-Second edition. (2) What is the latest edition of Flayderman's Guide to Antique American Firearms?
Many thanks,
Michaeldoc
