Cancer Surgery
« on: June 06, 2022, 08:19:44 AM »
Sorry to be so late in requesting/posting this but I will be having cancer surgery in about an hour at 9:00 AM this morning. I am in need of your prayers as it is a malignant (sp) miloma on my back. I'm not too worried about it since I have no idea what the Dr. is going to find and
God has always taken such good care of me in the past and since He never changes, He'll do it again. Great to have the Maker of Creation on your side when you need it. If you are not sure about your personal relationship, get it settled; the assurance is quite comforting.
God Bless and shoot safe.

THANK YOU to all, I really appreciate your prayers and well wishes. Surgery went well as far as the Dr. was concerne but no final report until about June 20. Don't yet know whether I will make the Muster this year.
Jerry, the squamous cells are on my throat as well as miloma on back. They get chemo and are more of  nusance than the surgery. Go figure. Oh well, Jesus knows best and we'll ride along with Him through this.
If I don't get there this year, somebody kick a few targets down for me.

His Obedient Servant,
Rev. Larry Little aka (Bvt) LTC Montgomery Little
Senior Chaplain, GAF

Prayers for you Larry. Sorry I just got on here and noticed the post. I am at a Church camp for the summer as the Missionary. I will be at the Grand Muster though and hopefully will see you there. Glad the Dr. was pleased with the surgery and prayers that the continued treatments will work. God always works things out for His praise and glory and will do it this time for sure as well. Take care my Brother and I am so glad you encouraged me to join GAF. God bless!

One in Christ,
Dewayne

Larry:

Just checking in on the Barracks after a few days absence, and was both surprised and concerned to see your original post … but decidedly pleased to see your follow-up message.

Prayers and Best Wishes for a full and rapid recovery are definitely sent your way, my friend!

I am still on track to finally be able to attend the National Muster this year, and certainly hope to see you there!

Serendipitously (… how's that for a high-falutin' word …  ::) ...) I have only just recently learned that the other members of the Canadian Contingent will not be attending, so I will be coming on my own … This development leaves me in sole possession of a nice two-bed room at the Comstock Lodge, and I was about to advertise the availability of that bed to anyone still seeking accomodation for the Muster, but before I do that, it occurs to me that such decadent accommodation (… as opposed to camping, as I believe you have usually done in the past ...) might help you decide to attend the Muster after all, if your circumstances permit.  Let me know if this possibility is of interest to you ...
