Morning all.

Cloudy and 45 this morning, supposed to get rain down low and white stuff above 4000. I’ll be spending most of my day up in Seeley Lake for work, which is a nice break from the spaghetti roads of Missoula.

I dropped the Mrs off at the airport about two hours ago for a trip to Kentucky. She’s going with a client to “see about a horse,” as it were. The lady she’s going with is buying a horse from the guy the Mrs used to work for (and from whom we got her horse), and just wanted a mediator. The client is paying for it all, so it will be a nice three day vacation. Meanwhile I have the run of the castle. Which basically just means that I’m stuck with the dishes from yesterday.  ::)

OH Joy !   just broke an upper incisor tooth  :o   got to see a dentist . ::)

The other one I broke on surfboard 53 years ago and had it capped back then, this will not be inexpensive  :'(

Nope,  Professor , no JB weld,, Dintest say's a tad more hi-tech ...READ ....COST !  :o

Looking at a bridge ...they will pull the broken incisor and de-cap  the 53 year old repair....
then bridge to my vampire

'bout  $6000 when said and done  :'(

Major 2,
Broke one on right side about 18 years ago, eating popcorn. Dentist wanted to put a bridge in but I just had him pull the tooth. Since it was on the side, it wouldn't be seen unless somebody was jamming their fist down my throat. He warned me that the other teeth would shift as they migrated to fill empty space and my bite would be off.
Still hasn't happened yet, no problems. Saved the money it would have cost for what I considered as cosmetic work.

(Not to say I'm suggesting this as your course of action.)

This is the very front tooth , actually both upper incisors , the one I just broke and the one capped 53 years ago when I was surfing.
That cap has been discolored for years ... :-[.

I need them to eat corn on the cob & BBQ ribs ....  ;)

Last Monday I went to my Dentist for a cleaning. Told the  Hygienist I've still got all my teeth at 81. After the cleaning and X-rays found I need to have a molar pulled. Should have kept my big mouth shut.

Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are ready.

'Tis 40 and overcast. "Cloudy. A chance of drizzle in the morning  then a chance of light rain in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 50s. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent."

As Winnie the Pooh would say, it's a blustery day here. Cool, damp, off and on rain. Oh well, the Missus made potato soup, so I am ahead of the game.

Mmmmmm, wife soup!

SWMMO coached me through making the simplest mussel stew ever!
Step 1 Read the back of the frozen mussel package
Step 2 follow the directions verbatim

20 minutes later mussel stew with diced potatoes tomatoes!
And it was actually tasty!
And i did not panic…..

I decided that as a transplant from Racine to Reno I should try to anchor the West Cost to the Midwest.  So, I’m adding the Reno weather update to the morning news.  Besides I need to post and not just lurk. So, this is us today:
FRI 10/29
HIGH 69 °F1% Precip. / 0.00 in
Partly cloudy. High 69F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.
By the way we got record rain falls over last weekend.  Lake Tahoe’s water level rose 6” (considering the area it covers that is a heck of a lot of water)!  The Truckee River thru downtown rose 6 ft. from almost dry to within 2 foot of flood level.  Nice part of this storm is it raised the snowpack amount on the Sierra.
And this is only October.  We’re hoping to see this keep going thru Jan-Feb (which is our normal wet season.

And thanks for the coffee it’s 5:30 AM here and I can’t get back to sleep.

Light rain and upper 40's here, put on the raincoat and walked a couple miles. Late breakfast soon, pancakes and outrageously priced bacon. Maybe some car  work later, if it either stops raining or I can re-arrange all the tools and treasures junk in the motorcycle's bedroom enough to get at least one corner of the Blazer in there.

Had an easy and light lunch, been up since 9, BP is a little low, a bit dehydrated, was retaining water and did water pills two days in a row, dropped 5 pounds on Thursday and 2 yesterday, back to where I was, too much fast food running to appointments, have to really watch my salt intake the next couple of days, that lunch probably was a good part of my allowed for the day, need to check.

The War of 1812 ,2nd.Seminole War and Texas Revolution era are near complete.
I am adding to the Spanish American War time frame , I have new maniquin ordered for the Officer of Vol. Cavalry uniform donation from Joe Ray.

Rain this morning then cleared to a breezy 78 degrees .
