Evening all.

They weren’t lying about the weather getting colder. Currently 8 degrees with wind chill to -11, and that’s the warmest it’s been all day.

Dropped about 40 degrees since about 4, at one time today we were about 50 degrees warmer than at Pitspiters, glad I'm not up on that hill tonight. ::)

The Birthday party for a 100-year WW 2 veteran is about to get underway here at the Museum.
The honor guard was out yesterday morning rehearsing and are here in full dress uniform today.
Olive Garden is catering, and guests have been arriving for 1pm start when he arrives.

The Veteran was in WW2 uniform and can be seen seated (wheelchair) alongside of his daughter right center.
The honor guard was provided by the USN. The flag was folded and presented to him.

The old gent could walk; however, we provided the wheeled chair so he could comfortably tour the Museum.

I apologize, I left the photo taking to one of the museum volunteers, I was disappointed.

Veterans day photo from local news archives.

Well, we decided to get away to Branson MO this week, yesterday was spectacular and tomorrow is supposed to be ice and snow! Ah, the joys of living in the Mid South. It is the prettiest place you can imagine, if you get to Branson, the Lawrence Welk Resort is gorgeous. Coffee in a one and a two...

I went to the College of the Ozarks for 1.5 years, which is just south of Branson. I worked at Sadie's Sideboard on the strip as a bus boy.

We are on a roller coaster temp wise in the “Biggest Little City”.  We were at almost 60 two days ago, then barely broke freezing at 32 on 2’s Tuesday 2/22/22.  Too bad we didn’t top off at 22.  I guess that would be 22 2/22/22 much.  Started climbing again and should be back to almost 60 by next Tuesday.

Guess this has been too much, so I’ll go back to sleep now!

Well, it's evening here in Branson MO. We came up Monday for a getaway, Monday was gorgeous, just beeyootiful, Tuesday was cooling off and Wednesday and this AM were freezing rain, snow, sleet, etc. Anyhoo the roads are getting cleared so we will head home tomorrow morn. Even had the power go out at our house for about 6 hours while we were gone, so it's just as well we were here. Will probably take the Missus to her favorite mall before we hit the road tomorrow as she missed out on 2 days of attack shopping. I did score 1,000 CCI LPPs so it was a good trip for me.

Was 67 and sunny here yesterday, Today the high was 32 and cloudy, we're waiting for a S**w storm that the weather liars say could drop 6-12 inches of the evil white stuff. Y'all stay warm and dry.

Loaded up the SUV for Sundays Bike, Auto and Music Show with the portable Museum Display.

US Standard & POW flags, US helmets WW1 - today's Kelvar, AT-4 Rocket Launcher
Display Pineapple & Ball Frag grenades, museum brochures, and handouts
and last but not least the fully restored Indian 741 motorcycle.

* Table display something like this one from the Osceola Trail Ride last month.
less the US cavalry horse bits, etc...
