I just put a pot of Cawffee on and the tea water is steaming. I am in beautiful Davenport, Iowa for the 2016 NCOWS convention. I flew up here yesterday from D/FW.

The Cawffee is pretty good this morning. I am waking up right now, after I finish the Cawffee, I will bathe and get dressed. The hotel has a free breakfast for guests,, and I will partake of it.

54 and mostly cloudy right now (5:00). Supposed to have a 75% chance of rain starting at 6:00 so I’m holding off on the cooking to see if I can squeeze some moisture of of these clouds.

Grilled chicken with rice and vegies are going on the table tonight.

Made pulled pork out of the left over pork from the other day. I think our neice passed her flu/cold thing on to me.

Thick cut boneless pork chops & chicken breasts on the smoker , apple wood chips.

looking for rain today & tomorrow... gonna hang out in the reloading room, I have some 32/20's a 45ACP to do.
maybe some holster making....

The chicken was good last night; but the grilling ruse to get rain didn’t work. Got a little sn*w around 6000 ft (that’s 1000 ft above us).

Supposed to have a chance of rain all day long today, but the sun is shining right now. I don’t have much hope!

Well, my day malfunctioned, smoker shut down and when I restarted it flamed up $:-\$

rain never showed so I when to the range ,and spent some lead.
Ran into some old friends from the Muzzle-loading crowd , they were grilling hot dogs invited me to join them
and we caught up on recent history

I got home and grill the chops in the oven, they be lunch at work tomorrow

At least I have the grand openning of the new Cabela's to look forward to for this week....hopefully the air conditioner will work well in the store!

The guessers came through again. After a prediction of rain all day long yesterday, the only rain we got was a half hour drizzle about 9:00 PM. The mountains came out better, with 2 or more ft. of snow. The ski areas are happy as clams (albeit snow packed clams probably aren’t very happy!.

One thing we aren’t lacking around here is wind. We’re going into our third day of 20+ with gusts of 30-40. Temp supposed to get up to around fifty this afternoon.

I like the time change, more daylight when I get home from work. Don't need daylight to get to work, I got headlights for that. And daylight burning while I'm working in a building with no windows is just wasted daylight!

My wife is home all week for Spring Break. Victoria and I are glad to have her home. She made us meat loaf, mashed potatoes, and English peas for supper. I rested today and recuperated from the trip to Iowa for the NCOWS convention. I am trying to get used to the time change.
