Good day at the range with the Chiappa Spencer
« on: May 22, 2021, 06:15:08 PM »
Finally had a chance to go back to the range today with the Chiappa, experienced no jams, worked the action briskly to eject and fed slow and steady, I guess removing the right extractor was just the ticket. Loaded up some virgin Starline 45 Schofield brass, charged with 4grs of Trail Boss, Winchester large pistol primers and topped with 200gr lead RNFP bullets. It felt like I was shooting a 22lr. I'm sure after spending more time with this platform and getting use to the trigger I can do a lot better. Distance was 25yds shooting off hand. Guys go easy on me!

Thank you sir, I did not alter the trigger, I purchased the rifle second hand, the trigger pull is pretty heavy and will take some getting use too.
