Title: Locked Comment
Post by: Dave T on June 10, 2020, 04:24:41 PM
I posted a teasing comment about Trapdoor Springfields and black powder, and even added a smile at the end. I revisited it a day or so later and my post is marked as locked. How was what I said either offensive or out of line?

Give me a link to the topic. The moderator might have to chime in here.

Here ya go:  https://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php?topic=64114.0

The thread was about an H&R Officer's Model Trapdoor and I have no clue what I did wrong.

It's not locked. Nothing in the moderation log on this thread either.

Marshal,

You are right, it isn't locked, rather it's marked for "removal". It shows in the upper right corner and I still don't get it.

DaveT, I think there is a "Remove" with an X at the upper right of every post we make, visable to the one who made the post.  I'm guessing that is so anyone can delete one of their own posts?

Abilene is correct. The "remove" button is visible on your own post giving you the option of removing it all together. The other option is to modify or edit your own post.

Well my goodness, don't I feel like an idiot. I never, in the years I've been coming here and posting, noticed that little removal thingy. There's a reason they talk about us geezers being old and slow, I just can't remember what it was. (smile)

Was that feature even there until recently?  Seems like other things been added.
