You might try replying to the guy in the video's other youtube sight. I watched several of his Civil War reenacting video's to work out what things to buy for Muster(s). Click on the 11th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry link below on the following youtube page.

That looks great, I need to get in a bit better shape and I could do Infantry. I have yellow stuff because I have short rifles not because I like (or can even stand) horses. Friends tell me that horses cost even more than boats.

If you don't use a boat, you don't feed it or clean up after it.
