William Cody
« on: October 20, 2020, 08:10:24 PM »
Need help from Nebraskans! I grew up in North Platte. My recollections from age 11 are different from my siblings. The Buffalo Bill Ranch, Charlie Evans Ranch! Fished on a trout stream east of house, my brother thinks it was on Evans property, my recollection, it was on historical site. 50 years ago easily muddled. For non Nebraskans, Charlie Evans portrayed William Cody for years. He was the only 1 I knew.

I did find that site. After looking at historical site satellite imagery, the stream at “Scouts Rest Ranch’” doesn’t match my recollection 50 years ago, I remember a straight stream, so my brother is correct. Both of us recall Northwest of North Platt. As my brother & I push back, both of us are looking for Charlie Evans Ranch..

Terry Lane as the current Buffalo Bill is a good source for information on this thing, he also was a friend of Charlie.
