Question; Is it ok to shoot my 45/70 carbine and Colt SA 45 in the "Expansion Match?

I am not taking any electrical work 2 weeks prior to this year's event!  None!

I have a 1911, but it and I do not get along.  Revolvers and me, just fine.

I'll let the "powers that be" answer as to the Trapdoor, but your SAA could be used, I'm sure.

Me and my 1911 don't get along all that well, either. Since I've started going to Musters, now at least I've had an excuse to make myself shoot it once a year!

If you don't mind shooting against 03 Springfields, sure you can do that.  I suspect a good hand with a single shot would still be fairly competitive in a Skirmish setting.  Sure you don't have a .30-30 laying about?

I'd probably reccomend shooting in the rifle only class, no handgun, just concentrate on working that Trapdoor.

My carbine is not a trap-door.  It is a repro  Sharps falling block, single shot.  So, can that be used in the expansion match?

Well, you can but it'd be even slower than a trapdoor. If you want' you can borrow my 1903 or my Krag. If you have the 1911 you could shoot handgunner with just it or do you have a DA Colt or Smith?

Looking good there, did you find some vintage newspapers to paper it with?

That bunk bed looks just right for any former sailors that might be in attendance. Well, maybe it's a bit more roomy than where they bunked at sea....

If by "vintage" you mean last summer and fall.  ;) They'll be vintage someday. In the mean time there are some faces on some of it they GAF folks will recognize.

For what it may be worth, I have posted a blurb about GAF and the 2015 Grand National  Muster on the British Militaria Forums site, in its "Historical Shooting, Competition, and Outings' section -

An Equipment question,  What size "A" tents are y'all using for a single person? with a cot.   I am using up bonus money for equipment, for future events.   I have a round tent, available, made from a 9 ft. umbella shade, Khaki top. etc.  Or maybe a Brit wstyle pyramid?

This is the one I use   http://www.fcsutler.com/fccanvas.asp     the 9' long 7' tall version.   Plenty of room for myself and all my gear, a cot goes neatly across the back, leaving about 7 feet for living space as it where.  Folds up into roughly 3'x3'x6" fitting between the wheel wells in my Dodge Challengers trunk.

I prop it up with segmented wood roundstock and PVC pipe, all cut to fit in the same trunk, 4' Maximum.

Couple stupid newbie questions (sorry):

1. Are checks for registration costs made payable to Mr. Davenport?

2. Are Meal tickets the same as the banquet tickets, are initial banquet tickets included in the standard registration fee, or should I buy one of each?  It says "extra banquet ticket $15.00".  Got me all kinds of confused.  Just need to know how much I need to write the check for!

Sorry again for the dumb questions.

The only stupid questions are the ones you didn't ask

1. Are checks for registration costs made payable to Mr. Davenport?
Either that or the GAF Either one will work

2. Are Meal tickets the same as the banquet tickets, are initial banquet tickets included in the standard registration fee, or should I buy one of each?  It says "extra banquet ticket $15.00".  Got me all kinds of confused.  Just need to know how much I need to write the check for!
The extra banquet ticket is, for instance, if you brought your wife or son and they weren't a registered shooter. The meal tickets are for the number of meals you want to eat on site. We have a cook (Delmonico) who cooks for us but those meals aren't included in the registration fee. The only meal that IS included is the Saturday evening banquet. I hope this is clear. if it isn't ask again.
