Has anyone tried any of the Jamison .40-60 brass in an original 1876? 
I have some that Buffalo Arms made from .45-70 WW cases and they feed and eject correctly from my original 1876.  That is in spite of the the .45-70 cases having a smaller rim.
These Jamison cases might be a good option too.

Uberti model 1873 Short Rifles. The top in .45 Colt and the bottom in .357mag/.38spl.

I've had the .45 Colt for a while now. Very accurate with 250gr plated bullets and TiteGroup. I just got the .357mag/.38spl. I just sold a Mikuru Winchester (in the same caliber) for this new Uberti. Not that I didn't love the Winchester, but when I found another one exactly like my first, I had to jump. (I also have a Uberti SAA in the smaller caliber to match with the rifle.)

All pistol might work for me anyway, the range with movable targets has fixed tables most of the way across, with openings to change targets.

Not quite settled as to what to do today, might go to the LGS  :-\ no real reason (as if I need one)
no clams in the sack for trading, don't you know?

Might go do some display dressing at the U-see-UM,
  maybe lunch at the Wok n Roll or PF Chang's  :-\

Ain't being retired great?  :)

Morning Slim and all you fine folks. 69 here right now, supposed to hit 90 today. After the last few weeks, feels pretty good. Doc appointment this morning, then taking the Missus to lunch. Load the truck this afternoon for a Match tomorrow. Lifting my coffee cup to you all.

Need to see a photo of the Spencer Carbine, serial # 5157. My SRS books show the serial #s in that range as being issued RIFLES.  Your 5157 may have been modified and rebuilt as a carbine?????  Serial # under the forend should be the same # 5157 . . . check that out.

John, are you a firearms dealer?  You've been interested in Spencer serial #s going back to 2014 ??? ???
