Well, I wound up with the 20 Gauge. Good looking little beast, it will be a couple of weeks before I get a chance to shoot it as a vacation is coming up. [If you are retired, does it still count as a vacation?]

New project...I acquired this little Philadelphia Deringer Kit today.
I remember seeing these in the early 80's ,this one is NOS circa 1984 and was never assembled.
 It was made in Italy.

SOLD IT

Edit...
I decided not to build the little Derringer Kit (already have two wall hangers in loading cave anyway)
  I'll past it on....
I have posted it on Ebay less the anti's over there pull it because it breaks one of their forbidden draconian rules  ::)

New project here as well. Waiting for a RCBS die set to be available so I can work up some reloads for this Krag.

 :) DEACON!!  :D

Absolutely.  It absolutely counts as a vacation when you're able to get away from your usual walls.  I personally take TWO vacations a year.  Mouse Safaris you betcha.  Although the most recent Mouse Safari went real sideways.

September will be a Mouse Safari Cruse this year.  Celebrating an Anniversary.

CONGRATULATIONS:  That there be a really swell looking 20Ga.  An excellent reason to have a little faux pas for a Gunoholic.

Wasn't a gun, but a holster! Found an actual 1918 holster for my WW1 [1917] Colt 1911.

Shot my 1911 and RNWMP New Service at my cas club’s monthly. Duelist of course. Shot the .45 Trapper and Marlin Model 24. We had a beautiful day but it was very breezy. Got canceled due to cold and wet last month. We had 10 shooters, I felt like I shot well with only 2 misses and no Ps or bad ammo, came in 2nd. Also shot my new 1942 Husky Swede during lunch. Seems to be dead on with my VV Tin Star loads, rocked my small sass marshal at 50 yds offhand. Need to stretch out the range next and put it on paper.

Worked out a partial trade and picked up an ATI 1911 Commander today. Philippine built, very good sights, and will probably bobtail it as I like a bobtailed Commander.

Had a little [and I mean LITTLE] beastie come in the store a couple days ago. A Keltec P3AT, a tiny pocket .380, that is now riding around in my pants' pocket. One of the best pocket guns around and rarely seen used, so I grabbed it.

I had one of those, nice little backup piece. The Hornady critical defense ammo works great and was very accurate.

Wound up getting three non-working derringers. Gonna monkey around with them and if all else fails will put them in a shadowbox for decoration.

Looking at a well worn but sound S&W K22 Masterpiece today. Hope to give it a good home. Also, got the derringer Shadowbox done.

I really like how that Ruby Shadowbox turned out!
Well, put two guns on layaway today til I sell a couple up there. The S&W K22 Masterpiece and a Colt 1991 Commander that came in.

Those are cool, I understand " sell a couple first " :)

I'm consigning a piece now at the LGS and sold another a few weeks ago....

OOOOOOOOOOH !
The good Major has hit nerve, has my full attention.
1948 S&W MY Birth Year, a bucket list acquisition... :)

I'm continuedly, on the lookout for my birth year.
K-38 COMBAT MASTERPIECE, pre- Mod. 15
if I were to make it even more of a search, it would be Ordnance marled perhaps Air Corp/Force issued.
Beginning in 1960, the U.S. Air Force began purchasing them, and the only distinction from commercial guns was the stamping of “U.S.A.F.” on the left side of the frame.
So, the likelihood of a Birther and US marked is perhaps a dream fart.
Or perhaps a N Frame from 1948...

The closest I have is my minty M&P pre- mod 10. made in Nov.-Dec 1946- shipped in Jan. 1947.
