Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are hot.

'Tis and and raining. "Warmer. Showers in the morning  then sunny in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 70s. Northwest wind 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 30 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent."

It’s my monday. Got plenty to do. Wife and I are going to have a table at local farm market tomorrow. Getting ready for that  and getting back to my shift at work.

Greetings my good fellow netizens.
Sorry to hear of the 3 point acrobatics and possibility of cancer...
I hAve been out of touch all week S Mrs marvel is in the hospital for pneumonia, 30 days of antibiotic at home didn't fix it sooooo...
She is somewhat better after if antibiotic s and oxy, is getting a bronchioscope as I type to collect samples for culture and see if they can tell wtf the mass is since Cray and cat scan inconclusive. And of course they say "can't rule out cancer without a biopsy". And I reply "without data you can't rule out that it isnt a moth!  ... Let's see, at least the infectious diseases MD said "most likely a stubborn abcezz, seen it before" he
is practical fellow and I like his approach.

Prayers for Mrs marvel requested.

All those in tornadoo alley, stay safe.

All you gold miners, watch your topknot.

Everybody else, try not to get hurt in your conituing endeavours... (esp major 2 lol )

Evening all.

Hit 75 today.  Currently 62 at 20:00.

The dog has officially reached retriever territory.  Took her out for a walk today at the end of a forest road, and on the way out we ran across a big old gray squirrel.  I happened to have the 22 in the truck, so I let her out, grabbed the gun and got that tree rat.  Dog picked it up and brought it over (she was expecting a game of fetch).  Then during the processing, she made sure the whole thing was thoroughly sniffed.   She got the head and heart for her trouble.  The rest is currently on the grill.

Yep, but put one in a half pint of cheap Vodka and let it steep a month and it's a good bargain for extract.

Walmart Great Value extract is the real good stuff and inexpensive.  Watkins with a different label.

Well the night before last i learned they used Vodka to make it. Last year i bought a couple beans and thought they were missed priced... yesterday i was watching a cooking show and she was showing off her extract. 22 beans and in her words 1 and 1/2 bottles if good vodka in a jar sealed like you said for a month or so.  Pound of beans is over $400.  This must be the gold standard in Madagascar.  The specks in Ice Cream must be fake

Afternoon all.

Did SAR training today.  Man tracking and orienteering, then went to the Lieutenant's house and had tacos.

When I make vanilla extract, I'll do a quart at a time, and I use three beans and Jim Beam White Label bourbon.  I think it comes out better than with vodka or white rum.   I also chop the beans pretty finely.

'Like coffee... in the rain.'  Rain all day. My wife has been replaced by an alien lookalike, she doesn't like my coffee anymore since she's been home from 28 days in rehab after her fall.
Going to try to get into my shop today and work on my Krag stock refinish and mini30 / m14 builds stock.
