H&R Revolver Info

(1/1)

Prof. A. Wickwire:
I acquired an old Top Break Harrington & Richardson .32 Revolver and am trying to trace its provenance. Does anyone know of a resource for H&R Revolvers?

The only markings are on top of the barrel

Harrington & Richardson Arms Co.
Worchester-Mass. U.S.A. Pat'd Oct 4 '87

and the serial number under the top strap 041xxx.

I would appreciate any information.

Sincerely,

Prof. A. Wickwire

St. George:
I'd just sent this along from the Frontier Spot.

First - go to your search engine and type in H&R (or Harrington and Richardson) serial numbers.
That ought to get you several hits, and you can go on from there.

H&R made good-quality, low-cost revolvers for many years.
The never looked like much, and they don't bring much, but they pretty much always worked.
Many of the parts made for the latest ones can be used in the older ones as well - apparently, once they'd figured out a thing, they didn't go about changing it a whole helluva lot.

If you like, you can PM me with the particulars - barrel length, full markings, grips, finish, etc. - I'll see what I can do.

Scouts Out!
