It will be interesting to see what CZ does with Colt.
I fully expect QC to be MUCH better than from the old Colt plant.
CZ did a great job reproducing the Dan Wesson revolver, with interchangable barrels, and the barrel sets.
Unfortunately, the price was beyond what most folks would pay -
~$1600 for a 6" barrel version with a cerakote frame
~ $2100 for the pistol pack all stainless.
these were street prices
the complete pistol pack included a 4", 6" and 8" ( but no 2.5" barrel, for some reason)
Oddly the pistol pack MSRP was only $1825, and was a bargain compared to what the auctions
of the used ones were hitting.
But apparently, unless you were a died in the wool DW fanatic, that was too much.
there are far too many other affordable revolvers out there.
Much like choosing betwixt a USFA and a new, CAD built Pietta.
When the average guy with a wife, family and bills,
can buy a Pietta and still have enough left over to replace the entire Home Furnace Boiler system....
the choice becomes clear.
As many are finding out in the Midwest during this Arctitc Cold Snap, a good furnace suddenly
has greater importance....
IF CZ makes the product right choices, does it all with CAD, they may have a sellable niche.
LOTS of people would jump on a new Python even at $2000
Probably the old Diamondback
Maybe even the old Agent
