Duty tour on the Balkans
« on: January 04, 2007, 09:45:15 AM »
Howdy. Snapshot reporting in from the rainy North.
I am going to the Balkans for 6 to 12 months.
Going to do a job as a Liasion & Observer Officer.
Will be able to stay in toutch with CAS-city - unlimited acsess to the net.
Probably even more active than before!

It is just a shame that I can not bring my favorite long and short barrel arms.
I would have loved to use my SSA and my Spencer down there,
but if the zheizzze hits the fan the Glock and the 7.62 AG-3 will have to do!
Actually they are kind of effective!<Grins>

Best Regards

Careful with them Glocks, Snapshot.  They'll spoil ya.  Bought 'nother one yesterday.
Honorary Life Member of the Pungo Posse. Badge #1. An honor bestowed by the posse. Couldn’t be more proud or humbled.

All I did was name it ‘n get it started. The posse made it great. A debt I can never repay. Thank you, mi amigos.

Snap, if the merde starts flying, you keep your rear end down, hear? And thanks for standing on the wall with the rest of the heroes.
Yours, &c.,

I'm curious;  Is this the same Balkans that President Clinton said that everyone would be back by Christmas, about 10 years ago?

Regardless, stay low and come back safely.

Just to clarify and answer:  Yes it is the same Balkans, the war actually ended in 95. Still a "bees-nest".........
A well of entitys and religions made the former Yougoslavia in to a mulitiude of fractions and there still are a colorfull society!
There is not a great danger of a new war, but there are a lot of other considerations to be aware of.

When it comes to Glocks, no problem, been around them for ages. Used as a back up for years. Ohh yes they spoil you.  8)
But still it would have been nice to use Single Actions, just for the heck of it!

Do not worry, I will stay in toutch with CAS-City. GAF & SSS in particular.

Best Regards
