Well you can add me to the list with my engraved 1860 Henry in 45 Colt. Bet I got the purtiest one here. :D
DAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM ! you may have !
Col. Riddles,
Do you have Charles Galckman's address or phone number in Fairland. My mother-in-law has a Dairy Farm there and I just wondered if they might be neighbors? I also wanted to find out if he does revovlers? I have a first model Colt Richards 1860 conversion I want to have some early style engraving done on it.
Bill
This past year I decided Capt. Augustus had to have a 1860 Henry. Since getting it, I had a local gunsmith take 4 " off the barrel. It really makes a lot of difference in handling. It's in .45 and can hold 10 .45 LC or 11 Schofields.
Howdy all,
thought I'd check in here. I'v been shooting a Navy Arms steel frame 1 of 1000 in .44 wcf as my main match rifle for about 10 years now. Take care.
I wasn't talking about the bass, H--- that's nothing to clean, I was talking about the inside of the barrel!
Been shooting a Henry .44-40 in CAS near 10 years now. These days it shares the cart with a Spencer. Use the Spencer for stages with 8 rounds or less, the Henry for all others.
Oh what the he.. . One more organization I can belong to. Mine's a Navy Arms 24" in 45lc. "Iron" version. Wife bought it fer me as an aniversary gift last year. Custom buckhorn rear sight, ivory bead front sight, realy good action job, minor short stroke. It's been my main match rifle ever since! It don't care what you shoot out of it, it puts it where you point it! Yeah I use a dowell most of the time. That little bit of gamer in me won't go away. Sometimes I wish he'd just go on an' take over. Then maybe I'd practice an' work out like I should. Gamers are just the guys an' gals who do the things to improve themselves that the rest of us are too lazy or too buisy chasin' a buck to do. I love shootin' with 'em an' watchin 'em play.
MM,
If the 10Ga Remy kicks anything like my 12 GA 1889 Remy CoachGun, then you'l know the meaning of "kills on one end and Maims on the other". I carry bruises for a week after I shoot mine, but it is an original Remy and I love it...
I'm still looking for an 1860 Henry or that improved modell in 45 LC.
Shoot 2 7/8" 10s with The Holy Black and they won't hurt ya so bad,......Ya poor little things,........I use to shoot my ol' Mans Ithaca Mag 10, and I had a Spanish made Arms Sport 10 Ga O/U........those will hurt ya.....................
Dakota Widowmaker & all: have changed my alias from "Bootsie" to Long Johns Wolf. Would you please change my alias accordingly on the list? Thanks
Long Johns Wolf (aka Bootsie)

Major was a title I held in another organization a long time ago. I am the Captain of our unit now but brevet down to what ever rank the total number of men we have attending warrants. If we only have 3 men attend a reenactment they having a Captain looks just a little out of place. Plus this is an old picture from about 5 years ago.

I finally took the plunge and bought a Navy Arms today off of Gunbroker. Price was right at under $800.00, and it is claimed to be new-unfired. Since my 1866 is in 44-40 I opted for the same caliber in the 1860 - just seemed more authentic. I imagine I'll strip down the blueing and work on darkening the brass once it arrives. I prefer the older vintage look on my brass framed guns. In the mean time I'll be looking for some more cartridges! :)
Howdy fellows,
Sign me UP!!! ;D I've been a proud Henry owner for 11 hours. Cimarron brass frame in 44 WCF. It's great to move up scale on the style points! :o ::) ;D
It's what I want in lieu of a college ring, I'll get more use out of a Henry ;) ;D
Sure man ;), I hang out here and over at STORM more than anywhere else soaking up knowledge and talking philosophy ;D ;D ;D ;D
Request addition to this august group. I've had my 44-40 Military style brown barreled Henry since 1997 - two years before I started shooting CAS.
Respectfully Submitted,
Fingers (Show Me MO smoke) McGee
Major 2, You replied to Fingers McGee that you added him as #93, but I see him on the list as #91. Did someone fall off the list?
Flint
Hmmm... I wonder , I did not see him listed when I added him :-\
I have requested membership in the 1860 Henry forum since Oct 08 and have not received my membership. This is my 3rd request.
Looks like the 'members roster' got unstickied and the 'moderator needed' post is a sticky. ;D
Your up :)
How about posting a photo of that engraved Allen ?
i have posted the pictures before, i will repost again later for the new folks.
Good. More members will take the pressure off the treasury. ;D
Welcome aboard. Tell us about your rifle.

The new roster of members can be found in "1860 Henry Rifle Roster" thread above.

Sign me up! 1860 Brass Framed Henry in .44-40.
That would be JUNKMAN not JACKMAN, pardner! (http://blackpowdersmoke.com/colt/Smileys/default/cowboy-1.gif)
I guess I'm #160... Just received my 1860 Navy Arms/Uberti steel framed 44-40 from a gentleman on this panel after selling my Spencer. Was hoping to take it out this weekend but mother nature had other ideas :-)
Is there a Uberti serial number list to determine year of manufacture?
Just had a look at my brass framed 44-40 Military Henry.
The barrel is marked - [Henry's Patent October 16 1860] on the top line. Bottom line - [Manufactured For Canadian Arms Corp.]
Between the rear sight and the receiver and on the lower tang it is stamped - C004
I have no idea who the Canadian Arms Corp. is as they don't exist today.
Received my HRA model H011 about a month ago. Would like to join the roll call.
Major, Please let me in. I have a BTH Henry, brass frame. Thanks. OO
My wife gave me an early Christmas present a few weeks ago. 1860 Henry 44-40 made by Henry.

I am almost a full member. ;D Yesterday I went to my LGS and had them order me a Uberti 1860 Henry in 45LC. Pictures when it gets here. Of course I will have to wait 10 days after I do the paper work. California you know. >:(
