Evening all.

Another chilly one here. Sprinkles on and off, and a stout breeze.

I got to drive the big truck today. ‘89 Freightliner with a tank on it. For some reason the engineers saw fit to only put 6 gears in said truck, which had a top speed of about 50. Makes things rough on streets posted at 55 ::)  Also the clutch weighs about 90 lbs, so there was that to play with too.

I slept late and then vacuum sealed a bunch of stuff, do all left overs in one serving bags and then on lazy nights instead of crappy fast food we boil up a pot of water and toss what we want in.

Evening all.

First day running solo at work.  I got done early enough that the office lady told me to slow down because I’m paid by the hour. Which I supposed is true, but I’d rather be done too fast than get fired for being slow.

After work went and did some horse stuff.  Now time for a shower and bed.

Killing frost here. Forecast was for 38 degrees, covered the tomatoes with clear plastic, left over from transporting our double wide. When I got home, my wife reported that they were dead anyway, so it must have gotten colder than 38.

Evening all.

36 and raining in town right now. White stuff about 1500 above, with a forecast of up to 12” by Monday.

Question for the hat people.  My Stetson got left in my truck while I was away through spring, and the leather band inside shrank. Is there a good way to un-shrink it? I tried some Lexol conditioner, but no dice.  A wide brim hat will be very nice for working when there is wet stuff falling from the sky.

Coffee and tea are hot.

Slept in and then fixed fence.

Gonna try to change heater core on the suburban.

Rained earlier.

That’s what I figured.

Long day in Montana. We traded in the Nissan today and got a 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. It’s 4x4, and has hidden Sasquatch emblems in random places. That’s about all there is to say about it. It drives.

I found some 9mm and 223 today, and bought as much as cabelas would let me. A grand total of 50/9mm and 40/223.
