« Last post by dusty texian on Yesterday at 12:04:05 PM »Thanks for bringing this one back out.It was a fun shoot , I have another 76 45-60 that is the same except it has an octagon barrel six groove in almost as good bore / rifling . But for some reason I shoot this old Round Barrel gun a little better using the same ammo . The Round barrel on this one seems rather heavy . Nothing in the letter about that but it is hefty ! Was shooting on a private beach , you should have seen the sand fly when the target was missed .,,,,,DT

We have a 1942 Wehrmacht Truppenfahrrad "Troop Bicycle" in the Museum
The German Army had numerous units equipped with bicycles.
I dressed it out yesterday.
The M42 Truppenfahrrad was a military bicycle issued to the Wehrmacht during World War II. Special equipment for Wehrmacht use was the steering bar, the saddle, the toolbox and the porter at the back. The headlamp had to work with dynamo and/or battery. On the steering bar were two holders mounted which were holding the half-shelter tent or drivers trench coat or a blanket.

RATS / Picked Up Another Vaquero

This one is an Old Vaquero in .45 Colt with a 7.5" barrel.
I can't be the only one who really liked Ruger Vaqueros when they came with a real bluing and their color case hardening. Now, I know their CCH was not the best but once it wore off I really like the grays it produced. I'm not crazy about stainless guns even though I have a few. I prefer blued and CCH. I really don't care for the matte black guns they were making and haven't bought a new one lately so I don't know what they are doing now.
I just know I love the look of the Old Vaqueros and the early New Vaqueros.
Now, What kind of holster do I want to make for this one? Hmmmmm.
