I wasn't talking about the bass, H--- that's nothing to clean, I was talking about the inside of the barrel!

I bought a "used" never been shot Navy Arms "made in Ridgefield" Brass Frame Henry (low serial number) and have been shooting it in SASS.  It is .44-40 and I love it.  I shoot in Frontiersman and have tried to keep everything (clothing, equipment, etc) as close to 1860 as I can...  I just wish I could shoot a muzzle loading shotgun instead of the Mule Ear double I have to shoot.  The only thing I dislike about my Henry is the rear sight.  The ladder is so loose it bounces around.  I bought a new rear sight from Navy Arms, just am hesitant to have the dove tail cut for the new sight...

For a while I was cleaning and polishing the Brass but decided that I like the "used" look...I figure most in the 1860's didn't spend a lot of time polishing brass...

I am the proud new owner of an EMF/Uberti 1860 Henry, color case hardened steel frame, standard blued barrel, .45 Colt. I brought it home yesterday. I bought it as a used gun, but it appears new in every respect. The only fault I can find with it, is the ladder sight seems of somewhat lesser quality than the rest of the gun, but maybe that was the way the original was made and I should not be critical.

I suppose I should add my name to the list. I'll be shootin' my new rifle at a match on Saturday when I should be paintin' the house.

Been shooting a Henry .44-40 in CAS near 10 years now.   These days it shares the cart with a Spencer.  Use the Spencer for stages with 8 rounds or less, the Henry for all others.

Gamer!! That's what we call someone who uses different guns on various stages to give them an advantage! ;)

Just kidding of course, both rifles are a hoot to shoot but neither would be considered "competitive"  although the Henry should beat a Spencer every time. ;D

Whoo-eyy!  I don't know how I missed gettin' my handle on this esteemed list.  I got my "iron frame" in about '92 or '93; it's a 44WCF, Eye-talian made.  Love shootin' it.

Please count me in! I just purchased my Uberti 1860 in 45LC yesterday at one of the local Gander Mountain stores after having drooled over it for the last 3 months- I finally "pulled the trigger", so to speak, and now she's mine. Theres just something about this gun that really reached out to me- I just knew the first time I saw it it would eventually be mine...now it is!!!!! :)

Well, might as well put me on here.  Just got a Henry to go with my 58s (have a 66 to go with the OTs).  Have not joined SASS yet, so rudybollo is just a place-holder name.

You can add me once or twice  ;D ;D.  I have a 60 and an improved 66 both in 44/40.  The 60 has a front sight modification of a silver dollar cut to correct heigth replacing the factory blade.  The 60 is my winter rifle and the 66 is my summer rifle.  BP in both of them of course.

Count me in!  Civilian model, brass frame, 45 colt.  Maybe 200 rounds of smokless, 3000+ of black powder.  Very accurate, can ring 200 meter steels all day and with warthog black powder loads makes a dandy deer rifle.
