Pot is on the fire ...and rustled up some rye toast
Lower back pain ?  ...  Yep !  been there , in fact still there

Looking for a set(s) of original WW II grips for my Nagant to arrive from Irkutsk obl., Russian Federation
My gun has the Cold war red plastic,  but the gun is 1944 vintage.
I got the gun several years ago when they were readily available and a bargain.... now kind of pricey

So are the Mosin Nagant rifles- pushing the 200 dollar mark depending where you live.

Still a ton of them still in boxes to be sold.

$200 is a great price these days for Mosin Nagant rifles. They are not being imported anymore .

I'm seeing $375 average and up and nice Hex receiver will run $450,  I've seen 600 asked ,  and a real Sniper with scope 800-900

Even rough K98 Mausers Russian capture are upwards $600 +

Last Saturday I proudly watched my Grandson graduate from USMC Platoon Leaders OCS School in Quantico, Virginia. The ceremony was closed to the public due to the Covid but available to view through streaming. He will graduate from college in May of 2021. At that time he will be commissioned a 2nd Lt. and begin a career in the USMC.

You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Yes thank you both....  stayed dry, except for humidity yesterday  35% chance of rain today.

Made BBQ ribs in the crock pot , I just was not into heating up the smoker ...

Not bad at all

in a 3 quart Crock pot ...
1/4 cup of Apple cyder vinegar
3/4 cup of Apple juice
add a bed of  3 Valdivia onions sliced thick

I use an Applewood rub & Garlic salt on the meat.

Cook on low for 4 1/2 hours ,  drain off fluid ( onions will add a lot as they cook down )

Top with your favorite BBQ Sause, I like Sweet Baby Ray's Hickory Smoke
leave on warm till serving ( about 1 hour or less )

Wife bought a new Singer last summer when my old Brother broke beyond repair, wish i knew a Singer rep, I wouldn't even bother greasing it.   Got a 50 some year old one downstairs i bought for $10, need to revive it, wifes Singer 221 is to light for this heavy stuff.     Need to get the treadle working again, my old Brother would sew about anything and cost far less.

Coffee is up..... I have half a steak leftover. Will do something with it for breakfast. Possibly Tortilla wraps.

Pretty darn hot here yesterday- I suspect the same today.

appreciate the coffee, and your steak wrap sounds good.

Rain storm roll in about 4 Pm ish and rain fell moderate till about 6:15 or so yesterday..

35% predicted for today  with a high of 88 ° they guess.

I don't know why but a thought came to me about a movie I saw 60 years ago

Disney's "Darby O'gill and the Little People "   no clue why  :-\  I just popped into my head

starred Sean Connery a few years before the 007 films.
