Got me another "WARTHOG" iron!
« on: May 30, 2004, 12:27:38 AM »
I just picked up a blued, Ruger Vaquero with a 7-1/2" barrel in .44 magnum. That brings my collection of Rugers up to six in that caliber.
I also have a Blackhawk in .45 Colt with a .45 ACP cylinder. I am trying to figure out a way I can carry all six of the .44's at once and changing my name to the "Sixgun Kid" ....................... ;D!

If you do, you better get some good arch supports and make sure you don't stand on any soft ground.

Kid, you have some hoglegs there that you can enjoy shooting and will still be around to hand down to your children. Best yet is you can hunt  with some mighty stout loads and not have to worry about them getting loose. Rugers just plain make sense if you really like to shoot handguns.

My newest purchase was an Ubertti Cattleman in 44 spec with a 5 ½” barrel. Nice looking piece. Best thing is that my local FFL guy gives me a really good deal.

Now I just need one more 44 Spec. pistol, a rifle, long johns, boots , pants, shirt, vest, coat, hat, saddle, horse, rope (so that my lovely wife can hang me from the nearest tree)  :P

After that she can use all the stuff I bought and she can join the local group.  ;D

All of my guns get used quite a bit for shooting and hunting. I love the strength of the Rugers. They are my main ranch guns when I am out "Checking fences" on my place in New Mexico. Lots of critters there that would like nothing better than to take a bite out of ya! It feels good to have hard iron by your side when you are out in the wild......

Howdy Arabela Kid,

Can think of several ways to carry all six at one time. 2 in shoulder holsters, 2 in strong side holsters, the last 2 in crossdraw holsters

2 in shoulder holsters, 2 in strong side holsters, the last 2 in saddlebag holsters, that gives you a place for extra ammo.

2 in shoulder holsters, 2 in strong side holsters, and the last 2 in chest holsters.

2 in shoulder holsters, 2 in strong side holsters, and the last pair stuffed into your boot tops.    ;D ;D ;D

Looks like I'm adding to my Warthog pistols, currently shoot with a pair of Bisley Vaqueros in .45 Colt, but I have a pair of Navy Arms Schofields in .45 Colt coming.  Now I'll have something for those reloads on the clock!

Ruff Justice,

I think I will give those methods of carrying all of my big irons a try..... I need to wait until the lovely bride is not around though as she is starting to wonder about me wearing all that iron at once!!!!! she is afraid I'll break a hip or something ;D!!!!

I do like the alias of the "Six Sixgun Kid"! Can I have two CAS monikers ???!

Howdy Arabela Kid,

My understanding is you pay the dues, you can have as many aliases as you like.
