Title: WW1 trench display
Post by: Major 2 on August 31, 2022, 07:46:13 PM
Though I have not completely finished, (actually I'm never really finished tweaking and adding)
But here it is as of today, open for viewing at the Museum.

Yes Sir, an MG 08 on a rare Slead mount, its deactivated but otherwise all there.

We have three Machineguns on display, the MG 08, a MG 42 and a Japanese Type 99 both in the WW2 exhibit.

Concessions and artistic license must be made for ADA accessible, but I will provide a take home bag
of dirt and bottled water kits for the do-it-yourself adventurers.

Been reading about this, may have to figure out what got unplugged behind the entertainment center.  Wife just uses her tablet.  I've read the book several times, bought it from sclastic books when I was in Jr High and have seen both version and want to see this one.

John Boy's version was just on the other night
also stared Ernest Borgnine, Donald Pleasence, Ian Holm (think Bilbo Baggins of LOR) and Patricia Neal, a
pretty solid cast.

There is also a 2022 film a re-adaptation of the book.  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1016150/

No Bully Beef cans as yet I'll look into that, but I have made 1917 HARD BREAD packages.

A few more un-related to the trench exhibit.

Revolutionary War and an exterior shot of the museum... and couple of the outside vehicles.
