Title: Rebarrel or Reline a Roller
Post by: Chase on April 05, 2010, 10:08:09 AM
I have a Rolling Block in 43 Spanish.  Given the prohibitive cost of reloading components for the round ( I would have to buy molds, dies, and brass), and my desire
to shoot the gun in NCOWS events, I would like to convert it to shoot a pistol round.  Some ideas I've tossed around:
   1-Rebarrel the thing.
   2-Reline it.
3-Rechamber it to fit 44 Russian (Barrel diameter .439) and leave the barrel alone.
If the gun is chambered in .357 or larger, it could also be used in Indiana to hunt deer.

I am not into long range shooting (yet) and like the idea of shooting a  pistol round in it.  The gun has been cut down to a carbine
length and has no collector value.  I also wouldn't mind finding a smith within driving distance (1-2 hours) from
Indianapolis to do the job  Any ideas short of tossing the gun in a corner and starting fresh would be appreciated.
