A Might Quiet
« on: July 12, 2020, 08:10:02 PM »
Greetings All

Might quiet these days around here, so figured to see if anyone been out shooting.  I managed 20 rounds on July 4.  Been to long and sure was fun.  Did under score how much my marksmanship has suffered with no shooting for a spell but was sure grateful for chance to get back at it!!  How bout it folks, anyone had a chance to pull a trigger of late?!

It's been hot here, too.  Whereabouts do you live?  I'm in Austin and it's been triple digits for about a week.  Haven't been shooting much but I might go Friday, as it's only supposed to be in the upper nineties.  We have a cold wave.  Be safe!

Just got back to SC from the Bitterroot Valley in Montana. It was great there! Highs in the 70s-80s and cool nights. Mid 90s here and wet. Went to the range before going West, and was about ready to pass out after an hour. Wish I was back out West with a 76!

Hootmix,

Thanks for the reply.  Wish I could send you some of our humidity, but I guess we'll be  sweating till October!  Be careful!

Doctex:
Been quite here as it has been pretty wet and muddy what with all the rain we have been gittin.  I do have an itchy trigger finger and am getting ready to take the '76 out and give it a shot or two.  Got three target ranges here--one at 25 yards for laziness, one at 205 yards for serious stuff and one at 100 yards for load testin.  So, it looks like the hay was rolled today and now can see the targets so maaybe!

Hot and dry here in Utah.  Extreme fire danger and some of the local target shooters are not helping by firing at exploding targets.

We're far enough away from the coast that we'll only get a bunch of rain, but I have relatives in Brownsville, and I hope and pray that anyone who is on the coast is ready and safe.  May God protect y'all!
