Colt 1860 Diameter
« on: August 08, 2011, 12:20:52 PM »
Howdy,
I recently got a Colt 1860 reproduction Signature series and slugged the barrel.  It appears to be .464 in at least and
probably closer to .465 in.  Is this common?  The cylinder is .449 at the front and tapers smaller toward the back.

The fit and finish of the gun is very good.
Regards

Yep, many 2nd & 3rd Gen. Dragoons were like this. That's why I don't own one as this big they won't shoot for sour apples unless you load a Brown Bess ball!!  :D
