Looking for a Sharps .45-70 long range load

For long range I probably wouldn't use a bullet smaller than 500gr. I use 70gr FFg compressed under a 535gr Postell like this:

Sorry I can't help with a smokeless load.

Drydock:
The Venturino book does have smokeless loadings in it.  You need 5744 or Shooters World "Buffalo" powder (They're the same).
