Good Evening My Dear Del and 40 -

I had to jump in just in case 40 was seeking further esoteric advise, say, regarding the redecoration of his Carriage House
in the Style of perhaps the 17th Century Chinese Emporer's Concubine Quarters....

I was going to mention that the biscuit recipe per 40's Sainted Mudder sounded remarkably like Grandma Niva Standing Bear's Frybread recipe .... then Del trumped me.

The amazing thing about these unleavened frybreads is that they are remarkably good for settling an upset stomach! I have no idea why, but instead of "laying like lead" the fry bread just seems to work.

Del sez:
> Je weniger die Leute darüber wissen, wie Würste und Gesetze gemacht werden, desto besser schlafen sie nachts.

Ja Ja! Wir dürfen nicht zu viel wissen, solange unsere Mägen keine Einwände

...
Hmmm best Worst? or worst wurst?

...
Methinks it is perhaps time we had best learn to make snausages ourownselves. And grow a big garden :-)

I make sausage sometimes, the bulk country stuff, wish I lived in the country I'd have a smokehouse and butcher.

Mike at a local store makes durn good sausage, but it ain't perfect and neither is the stuff Mustang Greg and his dad make, see you have to add lard cause it don't have enough grease on it's own to make gravy that ain't lumpy.  One thing the mass produced sausage has is plenty of grease for the gravy. ;D

Oscar Mayer?

Nope.  Something like Kammermann.  He's lived in S. Cal since Noah landed his ark at San Pedro

To Prof Marvel, it is the baking soda that eases the stomach.  Or a combination of the flour and soda that does it.  The flour absorbs and the soda neutralizes acids.  You'd think they would puff up in you like nobody's business but it all works out in the wash.

On a side note. I knew a feller who told a story of going on a field trip to an Oscar plant once as a kid.  They were all sent home at the end of the day with a bag of meat and nobody wanted theirs after watching the process.  I imagine none of them like watching congressional sessions either.

I'd be munching on my goodies while watching the process.  The only time my stomach gets weak is when it's been filled with too much Tequila. :P

Why my Dear Delmonico! you have changed! you are considerably ..... younger?
If you wish a smokehouse in town, perhaps all you really need a is a taller smokestack?

Thank you  kindly Leo, since bakeryism and cookery is such an arcane art/science, and I seldom seen to be able to reproduce the same results twice,  I have given up trying to understand it. Instead, I rely upon "whatever worked last time, and write everything down in order to try to duplicate it". The result sometimes means doing a small rain dance or waving my hands magically, but if it works, that's fine :-)

Say Leo, do you think we can persuade 40rod to take on another redecorating project? My wife is refusing any of my ideas and I really need to inflict them on others :-)

Ah Trinty, may I  recommend Corn Dodgers! They come Highly touted from reliable sources .... and can be consumed with any spectator sport.

Bro, since he mentioned his wife, I suspect that the entire house may up for remodeling.  We all know how quickly they tire of their environments...

Prof:  Corn Dodgers to absorb the Tequila?  Hmmm, might try that next time I give into the lures of tequila, but so far I have been doing a good job of abstaining.

Trinity, You're always welcome here in Texas, You just can't stay long enough to eat up all our food.

Better give him a plate of chow and put him back on the bus.

That boy used to come home from school, open the fridge, and ask Ma if there was anything to eat.  By the time she drug him out and got the door closed again he'd eaten up a week's worth of groceries.

The school tripled the cost of hot lunches for him and Pa had to sell the DeSoto to pay for them.

The state refused to give us food stamps because they said they wouldn't have enough for the other po' folks if they fed Trinity.
