ATTENTION TO ORDERS!

I hereby resume command of the Grand Army of the Frontier. The injuries from the concussion while not completely healed (I still have short periods of dizziness and tire easily), they are healed enough to resume my duties.

The Brigade Commander wishes to thank Col. Drydock and Lt. Col. Niederlander for their steadfast performance of their duties.

This order is effective immediately

Quote from: bear tooth billy on July 03, 2025, 09:39:54 AMYou can go to the NCOWS website and print labels off that. When I was working at
a printing company I had access to the right cardboard and a big guillotine cutter.
So I did some careful measurements and I can make 38 long Colt, 44/40, and 45 colt. I have some cardboard left but my supply is limited. They are the 3 piece with a string to tear them open,
Some may be for sale in Tombstone this winter. I have donated a few full boxes at events.

I would like to meet up with you in Tombstone this winter if possible. I live a few miles north of there and should be at Bordertown. We shoot at the Livery every once in a while.

Well we'll keep a place around the fire for you.

What kind of Shiloh do you have?

I am not sure, I am fighting some health issues, so we will see how that goes.  I always wanted to go to GAF as well but I get around about like Wooly Dan.

It is what it is  .  .  .
 Yer welcome.

It occurred to me another caliber I load cheaper 38S&W.
I have two revolvers I enjoy shooting...
My 1919 Colt Police Positive & my 1944 #2 Enfield.
I'd have to buy it online with Hazmat added it's over a $1 a round.

I got an ammo can full of donor 38 special indoor range brass.
It serves both my 38 Special needs and bobbed to 0.98" the 38S&W need.

38 S&W
.361 Diameter
.38 S&W
145 Grain RN
Brinell 12
Bullet OAL .640 +/-
For .38 S&W
Price per box of 500 @ $.10 per bullet
Price: $50.50

Standard twist is 1-22 left hand on the 50s.  I'd say that's what you got.

Will you be at KVC this year?  You'd be welcome to try this load.

I can re-load 44-40 much cheaper than I can buy it in the store.

Thanks for the info, I am not sure of the twist.  When I ordered mine I did not specify the twist, so I guess it is whatever is standard on a 30" heavy octagon.

I understand, I have 4 granddaughters between 9 & 16 and I can't imagine how hard it would be to loose them.
