Where can I buy ---

Where can I buy the leather ring that surrounds the SASS badge on badge holders?  And, are there different sizes?

  Howdy 38/72

The badge holder you are talking about is sold through SASS, here is their link to what you want. http://www.sassnet.com/Merc-Leather-001A.php

Thanks for input TEN wOLVES.  But, I need just the leather ring that holds the badge, not the complete outfit.

I haven't seen a supplier for those rings. You may have to cut your own. That shouldn't be too difficult with an exacto knife.

Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to your posts.

These rings can be clicked out if you have the right size dies. My thought would be a round die that punches slightly loose on the badges outer diameter, then a 3/4"  larger die to create a leather doughnut??  That 3/8" leather width should allow just enough to sew around.  Not going to say for sure but I doubt you would find hammer punches large enough for the job.

+1 for what Marshall Will said.  I used a compass and cut a pattern from a file folder.  I had no problem cutting it out with an exacto knife with a new blade.

Harbor Freight sells this cool tool that cuts circles. A buddy of mine bought one to make badge holders, and he is doing exactly what you are talking about. He said he had to sharpen the cutting surfaces, then he makes two cuts, the diameter he wants. He said something about moving the blades around, but I'd have to ask him exactly what he meant by that
