Some designs carried over nicely from the 19th century into the 20th century and even the 21st century.
The Mexican Loop design was one of those designs. Would look good on a Texas Ranger's hip in any century.

That's a nice design. Looks good, reminiscent of the Frasier 1911 holsters which were quite Western in design.
