I recently got this dvd off ebay and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was a very good movie overall and I would recommend it.

They have finally released Last Stand at Saber River on DVD. It was the only one of Tom's recent Westerns that was not available.   Tom Horn was also released on DVD as well as Conager and The Desparate Trail. Keep them Westerns Coming!

For all you Tom Selleck fans out there; he's on the cover of the new Western Horseman magazine.  A nice article inside about the horses he owns and his ideas about using authentic tack and equipment in his western movies.  He said one of his disappointments as far as movies go is what was done to Monte Walsh (I think).  I believe it is this movie that was cut from the original version of over two hours to 88 minutes for TV.  He said it just destroyed the continuity of the movie.

yeah, monte walsh was a pretty good flic!

I have kindof a like dislike thing for seleck -- on the one hand,i don't think hes a very good actor, kinda bland, and some times his movies feel a little-- how do you say it?  "low fi".

On the other hand, he more than anyone else done some serious authenticity and truly believes in doing it right.  And there are always a couple of great scenes in his flics.

Need to see more.

Tom Selleck is a might popular feller 'round these parts. :-*
I reckon he's a fine actor & is on the right side of Gun Control.

You're right...He does a purty fine job of gettin' the authenticity right as possible.

If I have it right, which I may not, there are 75 Directors. They are three year terms of office. 1/3 of them are elected every year.
