Title: Reloading score
Post by: Sagebrush Burns on December 05, 2014, 10:24:51 PM
At the gun show in Phoenix today I found an 8 pounder of Unique.  I haven't seen any Unique (or W-2310) for over a year now.  It was overpriced at $195, but another dealer had 700X at $235 for 8 pounds.  I'm feeling like I did OK.

Keep it hidden from the powder vultures! They know where you live ......

That's just a bit over $25 a lb, not bad. Guess there's not much "quantity discount" for the larger sizes anymore.

Wow.  I've been searching for Unique for a couple years now. I'm always afraid to ask at gun stores--I just get laughed at.

Persistance pays off, or I'd rather be lucky than good...

700X comes in 14 oz containers that sell for about $24 in some places so $235 is a little bit more than that but not too bad. The Unique sounds like a fair price. wM1

Howdy Sagebrush!
I saw 3 - 1lb bottles of Unique at the Grand Junction Sportsman's Whse about 2-3 weeks ago. Went back by this Saturday and they only had the 50 BMG stuff.
Glad I bought enough to get by.

Hope to see you in February!

Look forward to seeing you again.  Are you going to be able to make Winter Range?

There was one vendor at the Phx gunshow that had just about anything you want powder wise at $35 a pound.  Needless to say he still has everything I was looking for!  Another vendor had lots of empty space on shelves for powders priced at 24.95 a lb.  Not a great price but not a serious rip off.  There was none of the powder I was looking for.   Recon I will just have to try AA2520 for some of the loads I was going to go with varget on.  Have lots of it and only about 2lbs of the varget.

Sagebrush sorry I missed you at the show.  Spent 3 -5 on Friday and about 11:30 till 5 on Saturday wandering around.
