Why would I post about 73's & 66's here !!! It happened on this wise ,,,,,,, I have been looking for a 73 or a 66 I could afford ( limited income,, NONE !! ) or trade for. I already have a late 80's early 90's 92 Rossi 44-40 carbine in very good condition ( still tight ) and NO I didn't need another one ,BUT !! I came across a Rossi 92 w/ a 24" oct. barrel, curved but plate,, case colored , were talk'n " old west ",, w/ some problems,,,, it had been a 45 colt ,, and relined to 44-40 ,, ( had the button safety removed ) would not feed properly ,, hanged up ,,A LOT ,, plus a couple of other small glitches. 45lc rims are smaller than 44-40's ,???, no problem I says to myself ,, and the feller just didn't have time to really work on it

and he made me a offer I thought was really fair

,, fixed all the problems,, took it to the range ,, 10 rds. never left my shoulder ,nary a hick up,, and w/ the buckhorn w/elev. sight it hit to point of aim ( 40yds ) standing off hand. Holy Moly ,, smooth, accurate,, what's not like ( I don't need no stink'n 73-66 ) like it better than my carbine,, it's a keeper,, fired a total of 30 rds. So since it is a " 92 " I posted here.

All this typ'n made me dry ,, coffee's ready ,, Hootmix
