It was my first time to your range, also. What a range it is! I took some pictures to show shooters back home. I just wish I knew how to post pictures! The whole range is in a holler. If you listen real close, you could hear Deliverance being played on the banjo! Your cowboy town had buildings on each side of the street. The whole range was in the woods. You actually had to shoot around the trees some times. Shade all day long. The rifle targets were very challenging and placed on the hill side. Three moving targets. What a range and shoot. Your club did a fantastic job!!

Thank you for a challenging and enjoyable week end,

I haven't tried one of those. For that matter, I didn't know they existed. The design idea looks sound. If you get one, post back here how it works.

As dull as punches seem to be when you buy them these days, they should give one free when you buy a new set.

That's a good tip. I've often wondered how the blue stuff would work but haven't had the occasion to try it. I have successfully removed adhesives with lighter fluid with good success, too.

Hi
Has anybody used these?  I've only got one hole punch that could use this and it's kind of bent.  They seem to all come from China though.

The Winchester Model 1876 / This business of rim thickness
« Last post by Oregon Bill on September 29, 2023, 12:31:34 PM »
I have been vacuuming up all I can read on the .50-95s, and just read the 2021 thread by nohorse on his Uberti Presidio, which apparently won't go into battery with a rim much thicker than .058, if I read correctly. Just for squirts, I rifled through the brass catchall bin and came up with a few rim thickness measurements of my own. Wish I had a bigger sample.
Bell .50-90, .060.
Starline .50 Alaskan, .066;
W-W .348 Winchester, .068;
Remington R-P .45-70, .066;
Bertram .43 Spanish, .083.

Hi

You know how putting masking tape on the back of a holster or belt to keep it from stretching when you stamp it works?  Using packing tape leaves a gummy mess.  Alcohol seems to work (not drinking it, wiping the gummy mess off Jeez).

If you think this goes in the FAQ's feel free.  I was out of masking tape and the blue kind doesn't stick that well.
