Big help, John:
I noticed a dark line on the inside of the action in earlier photo. Your latest photo seems to show the shorter blade, spring assisted version, not the Lane that rests at 6:00 on the chamber.

Please PM me an address so I can pass some cases for test fitting. They have a slightly wider rim OD and should extract better vs. STARLINE's. Later, if wish, I can get you something that is "complete". Nice.

Thanks for the information Kevin!  I'd love to get ahold of a fresh 56-50 centerfire case.  I am happy to pay for one.
As far as the extractor, see the photos below.  I don't know Spencer's that well yet but there is a blade that slides along the inside of the receiver.  It is smaller/shorter than the one in my 1860.

Dummerboy,

I could also be interested in your 40-60 Cimarron but what is the difference between a "long rifle" and then an "octagonal barrel" in your description listings?

I thought all these rifles where only offered with octagon barrels in different lengths, except the 50-95 Presidio.  So what does long rifle stand for?  What are the lengths on the 40-60 and 45-75?

Sorry you are getting rid of these 1876's unfired.  I remember your finds from back in '22 or '23.

PS -- Editing here -- I did go back and reread older posting and found the ones where you mentioned about having 28" barrels for 40-60 and 45-75 from Cimarron.  But still would like to understand what you are trying to get rid of here.

Thanks, BRS

Abilene answered directly.  I am no expert but I will give you a design explanation.  The OP is/was dimensionally enlarged from the percussion revolver in order to handle a 45Colt.  I believe they then utilized this same enlarged frame and cylinder for all other calibers.  What that means to your question is the "arbor to barrel mouth" spacing was made longer/wider(whatever you want to call it) in the OP for the 45Colt cartridge sized cylinder than it is on any percussion revolver.

They will never mix up and then match up.

Quote from: Pappy Hayes on Today at 10:54:08 AMWould my Cimmaron 1861 Navy barrel fit the Cimmaron 1851 conversion revolver?

No.  Like I said in your other post, Uberti percussion barrels won't fit on their conversion and opentop frames, And the conversion and opentop barrels won't fit on a percussion frame.
