The Darksider's Den / Re: Where Oh Where Has Mako Go...
Last post by Mako - Today at 03:32:00 PM
I'm sorry everyone.  I guess I'm not meeting the needs of the group.

Upon me slinking back into the forum I originally posted quite a bit and as time went on I wasn't getting much response, I thought maybe I had saturated your tolerance for my antics.

Abilene is correct, I have several things keeping me busy and I also didn't want to just monopolize the discussions  (or in some cases what appeared to be the lack thereof).  Maybe, a few needed to take a nap and I was keeping them from it.

I'll try to do better.

Sorry about your Back, hope it straightens out quickly, I know that pain full well.
Yeah, fun chatting with you, the great HOTDOG caper, appears to be set on the 19th of October, time tbd.

For those unaware of the ???  great HOTDOG caper and what it is ?
It happens, Kevin aka (DeaconKC) Mike (Coffinmaker)  will be in Kissimmee, Florida on that date.
John Saffron (Johnny McCrae) and I will join them @ Willy's Hotdog Emporium.

Anyone else from the Board that happens to be about town is most welcome.

The American Plainsmen Society / Re: California Rifle?
Last post by Modoc - Yesterday at 09:16:01 PM
This has been an interesting read, especially since one of my shooting hobbies is Rendezvous here in Northern CA.  I'm going to have to check at our next Arms Collector's meeting about the rifle a member brought in that is attributed to the fatal mauling of a rancher in Whitmore CA. by a Grizzly.

The descriptions here just scream California Rifle!

What is interesting, except for the sights my TC Hawkens seems to be more of a California pattern than my Lyman Great Plains which is supposed to be a Mountain Rifle.

Quote from: Hair Trigger Jim on Yesterday at 07:14:23 PMI think PSA carries/carried both brands.  But SDS imports the Tisas pistols.

Your correct Sir
