At the SASS Texas state match this weekend, Bootstrap Richard was on my posse, shooting his 45-60 '76 carbine in the Cody Dixon category, really fast, too! (He won the Cody Dixon lever category).  I estimate targets were 40-50 yards.  I will have a video of him up in a few days and will post it here.

And BTW, at every stage the last shell he ejected went WAY further back than all the previous ones and we had to hunt for them!  Anyone else noticed this on theirs?

Afternoon all, from sunny Salt Lake City, Utah.

Currently making my quarterly pilgrimage to Montana for Guard Drill. Had to fly this time as my trusty Ford has the coolant system torn apart to find a leak (no luck yet).

I’ll be in Great falls for 9 days this go-around, before returning to my real job. We had a bunch of thunderstorms at home the past few days, so I’m probably going to miss the first fire of the year. But, it is what it is.

Y’all keep safe.

Well, I took my HRA New Original 1860 and my pair "Truth and Justice" 1860 Anderson .44 Colt (BHA) revolvers as my main match revolvers at the annual High Sierra Soot Out at Railroad Flat, CA this last weekend. Out of 120 rifle shots in the main match, I hit 119.  Dropped one shooting from a moving Ore Cart.

Tuolumne Lawman with Truth and Justice, and my trusty HRA 1860 Henry.
