Captain Jarrett will be returning from Texas this year with the proper colors music as he did last year.

RCJ-

I seem to recall that I also raised the colors a couple of times that weekend.

That said, and I can't speak for the Match Director ,Major Lewis, but perhaps we can rotate the ceremony among either the services (Army, Navy/Marines) or by Department (if we have enough representation from them all) - plus the International Department as well.

It'll be good to see Capt Jerrett again, and I'm glad to hear he is bringing along a field music to play the appropriate calls.  However, I will not be participating in the color ceremony this year - my shoulder can't take the strain of those logs this year.  Just shooting will be challenge enough!

We'll have  .38 and 44-40 along, too that folks are welcome to try.  Some are 1890's, some are 1875's, some for BP, some for smokeless, options and basic, long barrels and short --- We'd like to have folks touch, look and shoot.  Major Matt can't provide such an array of ammo, so if you don't want .45 smokeless, bring a few extra round of what you shoot.

I'm going to bring our original Remington (she's a sweet old sister!) in 44-40 so you can look 'em over side-by-side.  I'll do a side match or maybe a stage or two with her.  After all that Wild Bunching, my wrist won't hold up for a whole match of Warthog loads, so I'll be using a .38 for most of the main match.

Lou,

Last year I was visiting Taylors and got to handle one of the 1875s they had for display.  What a beauty!  So I up and ordered one right then and there.

I called yesterday to check on the status but they said it'd be a bit longer (no blame on you guys - I know you're doing the best you can to fill all the orders).  I've got other guns to play with in the meantime (and I haven't been able to shoot for a spell anyways).

The only thing that bothers me is that once I shoot some of the ones you're bringing to the Muster, I'll want mine right away.... :( :'(

Life can sure be tough sometimes.

This is mainly for Del, but everyone should take note.
I'm suprised no one has brought this up yet. We have been camping at the site of the GAF Muster for over 20 years, And every time that it rains , someone has eaten chicken on site. Just for your consideration.  jt

Beg to report sir, my 1916 jodphurs have arrived!  Recieved with much giggling from my visiting little sister, who has only seen such equipage on her small daughters english riding outfits . . .

RCJ & Trap,

Guess I'll have to eat my Popeyes spicy chicken on the trip down, eh?

Dr Bob,

If Delmonico's cooking is half as good as I've heard tell, you won't miss that chicken come feedin' time!
