Very Important Colt
« on: April 29, 2010, 11:43:37 PM »
This was posted by me a year or so ago but I thought I´d give the new forum some ¨fodder¨.

I actually saw this gun in person in ´96 at the Texas Ranger Museum. They are mistaken in the listing as it´s .44 CF & not Rimfire.

The Gaines DeGraggenried collection was absolutely amazing in its day - I know, because it was shown to me.

He was one of the first to really document his collection - back when no one really knew about 'provenance', and he did a great job.

In that light - he was instrumental in setting the standard for young collectors to follow.
