Have any of you watched “the Emperor” Tommy Lee Jones?

We had an inch and a half rain yesterday.
45 degrees, real feel 32 degrees. Drizzle.

Today would be an excellent pot of chili day. With cornbread. Chopped onions. On a bed of corn chips and a dollop of sour cream.

(Haven't eaten breakfast yet . . . .)

Thanks for the coffee.

Had a bad night- I was trying to sleep. When I heard Suzanne yelling at momma cat. She got by her with her latest hunting trophy.  A small rabbit.  It was banged up pretty bad and I had to get up to remove it.  Stupid cat.
Oh well, that’s what cats do.

Weather been pretty mild over nights here, still reaching 90° in afternoon

Calling for rain end of week here.

Morning all.

Raining and cold in Kansas City.  Had waffles and sausage for breakfast.

Have the truck in the shop getting looked at. Hoping it’s just a sensor: the mechanic seems to think so.

Well, bad news.

The mechanic looked at my truck. It’s the torque converter. Basically, it will be more to repair the part than the truck is really worth. So, I guess I’ll be getting a new truck. Until then, they said with some codes reset, I can run back to Montana, and figure that all out over the weekend.

Hate hearing about vehicle break downs. There is never a convenient time for them.

Went back to bed for a couple hours hooked up respirator. I feel a little better now. I have had a few restless nights the past few.   It doesn’t help with breathing.

No trophy rabbits in the house, but trophy mice with 7 cats that come in the house.  ::)

Got to a whopping 48, today. We are getting River City John's rain.

Rain pounded us yesterday afternoon with lightening very close, fear I may have a tree hit on or near the property.

A shame  :(  for the towing/truck Woo's  here's hoping you can limp it in without further drama and safe travels.

Got too many cats here, they range pretty far to hunt and few, if any, trophy's make it home alive.. They're all outside cats, anyway. Get chased with a broom if they get inside.

TK, If your route had come through Lebanon, Mo instead of the I-70 way, I could hook you up with my Transmission Guy. I don't know the specifics for your Ford, but he'll do a complete rebuild on a Chevy Blazer transmission for $1600. Sure, that's close to what a mid-2000s Blazer is worth, but I use them for the mail route, and I'd rather spend it on a rebuilt tranny than just buy another 15 year old car and take my chances.

Officially Wednesday - 2.51 inches of rain in town. But they did not have the deluge we got.
My gauge said 3.2 inches , with 80% forecast today and again tomorrow.

Greetings all.

I am in Missoula today. Had to just fly back so I can attend drill, and then start my new job. The horse is getting shipped up in two weeks, followed by mother and the future Mrs. Once I can get my hands on a new truck, I’ll go back and grab the trailer.

Air show this weekend. Travelling Vietnam Wall is there, went and rode in the motorcycle escort and then helped assemble it. Even the portable one is big, 277 feet long. Disassembled, it all fits in a 20-something foot box trailer.
