Forgot, there is a hilly area noth and west of Lincoln nicknamed the Bohemian Alps due to the amount of people from that region settling there.  There is at least one more area south and east of Pitspiter's place with the same name for the same reason, His father in law is from that area.

When I was living in Oceanside, I used to go to Calico Ghost Town just north of Barstow on Mother’s Day weekend for their Annual Bluegrass Festival.  An old west town with board sidewalks and a Bluegrass group on almost every corner and nook that could hold them.  Learned a lot of different styles of music at that little town

Well it's been hot around here, too hot to get out in the garage to reload even unless I want to get up at 3 am. Been piddling around with a screwed up back. Place is quiet as the Missus is in SC right now for her annual get together with her cousin. Kids are all out, so it's just me and leftovers, although there aren't many with three teens eating anything that didn't bite first.

Ate supper early with wife and her friend at some wings place, I had the fish, was tired and came home, read a bit and crashed out.   Woke up hungry and remembered my loaf of wheat bread from yesterday, was an experiment to improve it, pretty well got what I wanted but should have kneaded it a bit more, too good to be called artisan, but not gonna win a ribbon at the county fair, slightly ragged, was to lazy, should have kneaded it some more.   Got out a can of tuna, tossed in some dill weed cause fish and dill go good, used white pepper because all the fancy cookbooks say to.  Tossed in shredded cheese and mayo and I'm full.   Used a good amount of honey and butter in the bread and it's awesome.  Dog got about half of one because he had to stay home tonight.

Uses that good Bronze Chief flour with 1/4 the high gluten bread flour not AP and about a 1/4 cup honey and about 2/3 stick of butter, going to up the butter to one stick and see if it holds it's crumb good.  Stuff would almost be biscuit texture if I used that much lard and you couldn't slice it, may do that with 1 stick but I'll find out.

Simulated WW 1 trench wall is coming along, a work in progress
I want to do more faux-scenic paint and add Lichen (moss effect) then dress with uniformed mannequins.
And I have notch cut out & platform to do for the M 08 German Machine gun

You need some mud, a half rotted cadaver and at least one turd.  Oh and some nasty smell.

Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are ready.

Going to the "toy" store in a bit.

'Tis 78 and sunny. "Very warm and humid. Sunny in the morning then becoming partly sunny. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs around 90. Light and variable wind becoming south 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 50 percent. Heat indices to 98."

Greetings all.

Currently 94 as of 0315. I decided to do the millennial thing and buy a $5 coffee this morning instead of suffer through another cup of GI instant coffee. Also, I wasn’t too thrilled about the mile walk each way to get the chow hall brew in this weather. Especially when Green Beans is 100 yards away. Say what you will, but some days are just cappuccino days.  ::)

I did something, I had not done in years....
I stopped at WAWA's for a 24 oz Colombian coffee (I did cut a tad with a little decaf  ::))

I had quit that habit 24 oz "Colombian" (not Decaf) for $0.99, two + years ago when I retired ( F'ing Covid  >:()

But yesterday I was passing by, saw the WAWA's and said to myself...
" you knowwwwwwwww! what might go good right now?
I succumbed, I stopped.... and got me a fix!

It is with heavy heart that I report this,From my friend,Jonathans Grandmother...
Our Grandson Johnathon Michael Walker Brown went home to receive his healing early this afternoon. We are heartbroken. We appreciate all of you who prayed for my Johnny Cakes. His life itself was a miracle.
